Patches are scheduled for application as soon as they become available to our dedicated server, VPS and cloud hosting network partners. Patches are being actively worked on but due to the complexity of work involved specific ETA's are not currently being given, other than "ASAP". We are treating Meltdown & Spectre seriously, working closely with our network partners and they with their kernel suppliers constantly until patches are created, tested and distributed.
Based on our vendor's system architect teams investigations it may be necessary to reboot impacted servers and cloud instances after patches are provided by operating system vendors and distributed to our data-center vendors. Due to the potential severity of Meltdown & amp;Spectre any required reboots will be automatically triggered immediately without warning upon successful patching. Should reboots be required, clients may experience a temporary downtime of approximately 15 minutes once patches are made available and have been pushed out by our multiple vendors.
Important: Due to the speed patches are being developed and their complex nature, vendors may require multiple rounds of patching possibly leading to multiple reboots and short instances of downtime.
